Visiting Dunamis
What time should I arrive for Sunday service?
Doors open at 8:30 AM for the First Service and 10:30 AM for the Second Service. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to find parking and a seat.
Is there a dress code?
Come as you are. Most members dress casually to business-casual, but the only requirement is showing up — God meets you where you are.
Where do I park?
Free on-site parking, ample spots. Greeters direct traffic on Sundays and at large gatherings.
Is there childcare?
Yes — the Children’s Ministry runs classrooms for ages 0–12 during all Sunday services. Children’s leaders are background-checked and trained.
What if I have specific accessibility needs?
The building is wheelchair accessible. For specific needs — hearing assistance, dietary considerations at fellowship meals, anything else — email accessibility@dunamischapel.com and we’ll prepare in advance.
Becoming a member
How do I become a member?
Start by submitting the Become A Member form. You’ll be invited to a membership orientation where the pastoral team walks you through what it means to belong to this house.
What is membership at Dunamis?
Membership is a covenant — a mutual commitment between you and the house. It’s the start of a methodical walk: being built, taught, and prepared for service in God’s vineyard.
Do I have to be baptized to be a member?
Baptism is part of the membership process. If you haven’t been baptized as a believer, we’ll walk that journey with you before confirming membership.
Can I be a member if I attend another church?
No — Dunamis membership is exclusive. We believe the local church is a covenant family, and that commitment is undivided.
What’s expected of members?
Regular attendance, faithful giving, growth through orientation and doctrine classes, and over time, consecrated participation in a ministry. Members serve once they’ve been equipped, not before.
Serving & volunteering
How do I get involved in a ministry?
Submit the Join a Ministry form. A ministry lead reaches out to set up a short conversation and walk you through the next steps. (If you’d rather help with one-off events or projects instead of joining a team, see Become a Volunteer.)
Do I need experience to serve?
No — willingness matters more than experience. Each ministry trains as needed. The Lord uses the willing more than the qualified.
Can I serve in multiple ministries?
Yes, with leader approval. We want you fruitful in one place before stretching across two — rooted depth before lateral spread.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Most ministries ask for 6 months of consistent service before evaluating fit. Some seasonal roles are shorter.
What if I want to start a new ministry?
Bring the idea to a pastor. We evaluate based on alignment with the mission of the house, the prophet’s direction, and the genuine need being addressed.
Giving
Where does my giving go?
Roughly: local ministry & weekly services (60%), building & operations (25%), global mission (15%). Annual reports are available to members.
Is my giving tax-deductible?
Yes, in the United States. We provide annual giving statements to every donor in January for the previous tax year.
Can I set up recurring giving?
Yes — weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. Select the Recurring gift option on the Give page.
What’s the difference between tithes and offerings?
Tithe is the first 10% — covenantal giving. Offerings are free-will gifts beyond the tithe. Seed is a sown gift for a specific harvest or vision.
Can I give in person?
Yes — drop your gift in the offering basket during Sunday services, or mail a check to 10000 Virginia Manor Rd, Suite 350, Beltsville MD 20705.
Beliefs & doctrine
What does Dunamis believe?
We believe in the Bible as God’s authoritative Word, salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and the active, present work of the Holy Spirit today. See our About page for the full statement of belief.
Are you Pentecostal?
Yes — we stand in the prophetic-charismatic tradition. We believe in the present operation of the gifts of the Spirit, including prophecy, healing, and tongues.
Do you speak in tongues?
Yes. We believe tongues is a current operation of the Spirit, available to every believer, useful both privately for prayer and corporately when properly interpreted.
Do you support women in ministry?
Yes. Pastor Vinnette Kamgang is a co-pastor of this house and Pastor of Women. We believe both men and women are called and gifted to lead in the body of Christ.
What’s your stance on [doctrinal issue X]?
For specific doctrinal questions not covered in our public teaching, reach a pastor through Pastoral Care for a direct conversation.

Yes — every service is archived on the Sermons page, with audio, video, and full transcripts where available.

No — watching is free and open to everyone. An account is only needed if you want to track your giving history or member dashboard items.
Can I submit prayer requests during the live broadcast?
