§ 01Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website, member portal, mobile experiences, and connected services (collectively, the “Platform”) of Dunamis Worship Center International (“Dunamis,” “the Church,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, signing in, making a donation, completing a purchase, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform. If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a household, ministry, or other organization, you represent that you have the authority to do so.
§ 02Description of the Platform
The Platform exists to extend the discipleship, pastoral, and community work of Dunamis Worship Center International into digital spaces. Through the Platform, you may, among other things:
- Read about our beliefs, ministries, leaders, and events;
- Watch and listen to sermons, livestreams, and recorded teachings;
- Become a member, volunteer for a ministry, or book pastoral care;
- Submit prayer requests and share testimonies;
- Register and RSVP for events;
- Make one-time or recurring tithes, offerings, and partnership gifts;
- Purchase books, devotionals, sermon collections, and other resources from our shop;
- Manage your member profile, communication preferences, and household information.
We may add, change, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time without prior notice. Where a change materially affects how you use the Platform, we will use reasonable efforts to communicate that change in advance.
§ 03Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to create an account on the Platform. Members under the age of eighteen (18) should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. Children under thirteen (13) may participate in our Children’s Ministry programs only through an account registered and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to update that information promptly when it changes. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at info@dunamischapel.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate any account at our discretion, particularly where account activity violates these Terms or threatens the safety or integrity of our community.
§ 04Your Conduct on the Platform
The Platform is a space of worship, prayer, and Christian community. We ask every person who uses the Platform to behave in a manner consistent with the teachings of Christ, the values of our Church, and the dignity of every fellow user. Specifically, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your relationship with the Church, another member, or a third party;
- Submit content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful;
- Submit content that promotes violence, discrimination, or the harm of any individual or group;
- Submit content that infringes the intellectual-property rights, privacy, or other rights of any person;
- Use the Platform to promote a commercial offering, political campaign, or religious teaching outside the doctrine and mission of Dunamis Worship Center International;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform, another user’s account, or any system or network connected to the Platform;
- Use any automated means (scraping, crawling, scripts) to access the Platform other than through generally available search-engine indexing;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to overload the Platform or its infrastructure;
- Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent any security or authentication measure of the Platform.
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor activity on the Platform and to remove, edit, or refuse to display any content that, in our pastoral and editorial judgment, violates these Terms or the spirit of our ministry.
§ 05Member-Submitted Content
Certain features of the Platform allow you to submit content, including prayer requests, testimonies, comments, profile photographs, ministry interest descriptions, and event RSVP notes (“Member Content”). You retain ownership of your Member Content. However, by submitting Member Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and revocable (as set out below) license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display that Member Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Church and the Platform.
You also grant other authorized members and our pastoral team the right to read, respond to, and act upon Member Content where the relevant feature is designed for such interaction (for example, a prayer warrior responding to a prayer request).
5.1 Testimonies and Public Sharing
When you submit a testimony for possible public sharing (for example, in service, on our website, or in our publications), we may edit it for length, clarity, or pastoral appropriateness and may share it with the congregation. You may withdraw consent to share a particular testimony at any time by contacting info@dunamischapel.com; we will remove it from active circulation but cannot guarantee retrieval of copies already shared.
5.2 Confidential Prayer Requests
Where you mark a prayer request as confidential, it will be circulated only among the pastoral team and not in any public prayer list.
5.3 Removal of Content
You may delete your own Member Content at any time. We may also remove Member Content that violates these Terms or that, in our judgment, no longer reflects the values of the Church. Removal of Member Content does not necessarily delete back-up copies or copies already distributed to authorized recipients.
5.4 Representations Regarding Member Content
You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights necessary to submit any Member Content you submit, that the Member Content does not infringe any third-party rights, and that any information you submit about another person (for example, a prayer request on someone’s behalf) has been submitted with their knowledge or, where appropriate, on their pastoral behalf.
§ 06Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its text, graphics, audio and video content, sermons, devotionals, logos, brand marks, photography, design, and code, is the property of Dunamis Worship Center International or its licensors and is protected by United States and international intellectual-property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial discipleship, study, and engagement with the Church. This license does not include any right to:
- Resell or commercially distribute any portion of the Platform or its content;
- Use the Platform’s content to train or fine-tune any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model;
- Republish content on another website, podcast, or platform without prior written permission, except for limited quotation consistent with fair use and credited to the Church;
- Use the Church’s name, marks, or logos to suggest endorsement of a third-party product, service, or organization.
If you would like to use Church content beyond the scope of this license — for example, to reproduce a sermon transcript in another publication — please email info@dunamischapel.com with a description of the intended use.
§ 07Donations and Purchases
Donations to Dunamis Worship Center International support the ministry, operations, and outreach of the Church. Donations are processed through our third-party payment processor and are made in your local currency or in U.S. dollars where supported. By making a donation, you confirm that the funds belong to you and are not being given on behalf of another party in a manner that would violate any applicable law.
7.1 Tax Receipts
Dunamis Worship Center International is a religious organization recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization in the United States. Where your donation qualifies, we will issue an annual contribution statement summarizing your giving. The statement is made available through your My Giving dashboard and, where you have opted in, by mail. Please consult a qualified tax advisor regarding the deductibility of your donation.
7.2 Recurring Giving
If you set up recurring giving, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file at the cadence you select until you cancel. You may pause, change, or cancel recurring giving at any time from your dashboard or by contacting giving@dunamischapel.com.
7.3 Refunds of Donations
As a general principle, donations are non-refundable, because the funds support our ongoing ministry. However, if a donation was made in error, or if a charge appears that you did not authorize, please contact us within thirty (30) days of the transaction and we will review the request in good faith.
7.4 Shop Purchases
The shop sells books, devotionals, apparel, and other resources. Pricing, availability, descriptions, and shipping options are shown at the time of checkout. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but reserve the right to correct errors and to cancel and refund any order affected by an obvious pricing or stocking mistake. Physical items may be returned in unused condition within thirty (30) days of delivery for a refund of the item price. Digital items are non-refundable once delivered.
7.5 Taxes and Fees
You are responsible for any sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes that may apply to your shop purchase, as well as for any third-party fees imposed by your bank, credit-card issuer, or mobile carrier.
§ 08Disclaimers
The Platform and all content, services, and features made available through it are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that the Platform is free of viruses or other harmful components, or that the results obtained through the use of the Platform will be accurate or reliable.
Pastoral, devotional, educational, financial, medical, legal, and other information made available through the Platform is shared in the spirit of ministry and Christian community. It is not a substitute for professional counsel of any kind. In matters of mental or physical health, please seek the care of a qualified licensed professional. In legal or financial matters, please consult a qualified advisor.
§ 09Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Dunamis Worship Center International, its officers, directors, trustees, employees, volunteers, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some or all of the limitations above may not apply to you. In such cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
§ 10Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dunamis Worship Center International, its officers, directors, trustees, employees, volunteers, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) any Member Content you submit; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
§ 11Termination
You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing privacy@dunamischapel.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of these Terms or conduct inconsistent with the safety and integrity of our community.
Termination does not relieve you of any obligation incurred prior to termination, and any provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including the provisions on intellectual property, Member Content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
§ 12Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. We encourage you to contact us directly to seek a pastoral and informal resolution of any dispute before pursuing formal legal proceedings, as taught in Matthew 18 and 1 Corinthians 6.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties agree that the dispute shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of such courts. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, each party waives any right to a trial by jury in any proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms.
§ 13Livestreams, Chat, and Community Spaces
The Platform hosts livestreams of services and events, and may make available chat rooms, comment sections, prayer walls, and similar interactive spaces. These spaces are extensions of our gathered worship and are moderated accordingly. By participating, you agree that:
- You will speak in a manner consistent with the teachings of Christ and the values of our Church;
- Worship is not a debate forum; doctrinal disputes, political campaigning, and commercial solicitation are not appropriate;
- You will not share private information (your own or anyone else’s) that you would not be comfortable sharing in a public gathering;
- Pastoral, prayer, and care needs that require a private setting should be shared through dedicated pastoral-care channels rather than open chat;
- Our moderators may remove messages, mute participants, or end a chat session at their discretion in order to keep the space honoring to God and safe for participants.
Chat transcripts may be retained for a limited period for moderation, training, and pastoral follow-up. Personal information shared in chat is governed by our Privacy Policy.
§ 14Account Dormancy
If your account remains inactive for twenty-four (24) consecutive months — with no sign-in, donation, RSVP, or other recorded activity — we may notify you of pending account closure. If we do not receive a response within thirty (30) days of that notice, we may close the account and delete or de-identify the associated personal information, subject to the recordkeeping obligations described in our Privacy Policy.
Dormancy and closure do not affect donation records that we are required by law to retain or recurring giving that you have left active. Recurring giving will continue until you cancel it; please review your My Giving dashboard if you wish to make changes before closure.
§ 15Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of any of our obligations under these Terms to the extent that the failure or delay is caused by an event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, severe weather, epidemic, pandemic, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labor disruption, telecommunications or utility failure, or interruption of internet service. In such cases, we will use reasonable efforts to resume performance as soon as practicable.
§ 16General Provisions
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Accessibility Statement, and any other policies or guidelines posted on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and Dunamis Worship Center International regarding the Platform, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not be deemed a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a ministry reorganization, merger, or transfer of operations.
The headings used in these Terms are for convenience only and do not affect their interpretation. Any references to “including” mean “including without limitation.”
Notices that we provide to you under these Terms may be delivered through the Platform, by email to the address associated with your account, or by mail to the address most recently on file. Notices that you provide to us must be sent to the contact information in the “Contact Us” section below.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will notify members through the Platform and, where appropriate, by email at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms indicates when they were most recently revised. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a revised version, your remedy is to close your account before the new version takes effect.
