What we do.
The Greeters of Dunamis stand at the door of every service. We open it, we hold it, we extend a hand, we say hello. We answer the questions a first-time visitor doesn't know how to ask. We point to the nearest bathroom, the children's classroom, the seating closest to the front. We make a stranger feel like the room has been waiting for them.
This is not small work. For many people, the experience of walking into a church is the single biggest hurdle between them and worship — and we are the team that lowers that hurdle. A real smile at the door does more than ten weeks of marketing. We know this, and we take it seriously.
Our heart
We believe that hospitality is theology with hands. Every guest who walks through our doors is an image-bearer of God, and the way we treat them communicates what we believe about the God who made them. A warm hello says "you matter here." A genuine question says "we see you." That is the gospel before anyone hears a sermon.
The team is shaped to notice — the person walking in alone, the family that looks lost, the visitor who keeps their coat on and stands at the back. Our work is to see, to welcome, and to wave forward to the next team that can help. It is small in scale, large in impact.
If you have a heart for first-time visitors, a face that smiles easily, and the willingness to stand at the door for an hour and pay attention — we want to meet you. Show up early on a Sunday and stand with us. We will introduce you to the team.
