What we do.
The Building Maintenance team of Dunamis takes care of the physical place where the church gathers. We patch the wall when it cracks, change the bulb when it goes, mow the lawn when it grows, and unclog the drain when it backs up. We are not a glamorous ministry, and we are not trying to be. We are the team that makes sure the house is ready every Sunday morning, every Wednesday night, every Friday service — and we take that posting seriously.
Our work covers everything from routine custodial care to skilled trade work — plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, groundskeeping. Some team members serve weekly on a fixed rhythm; others come for one-off Saturday projects when something big needs doing. The team scales up and down with the season, but the work never stops.
Our heart
Nehemiah rebuilt the wall before he taught the Word. Solomon prepared the temple before he dedicated it. There is a Biblical pattern: the place matters because the people who gather there matter. A clean sanctuary, a working air conditioner, a parking lot with the lines repainted — none of these things preach the gospel, but all of them make room for the gospel to be heard.
We believe maintenance is ministry. Every nail driven, every floor swept, every leak fixed is an offering to the One who entrusted us with this building. We are stewards, not janitors. There is a difference.
